James Ross moved from Jefferson county to the old Joe Sumner place. Their children were: John, William, Alex, Lott, Sally and Nancy. John moved away to Florida. William married Sally Bishop. Their children were: John and William. John married Mary Clements. Their children were: Abe married Gusie Fletcher: Dave married Miss Parker: John married Miss Winn.
William, son of William Ross, married Betty Luke. Their children were: Asa died ; Bobby married Miss Nobles she died. He then married Sally Kendrick. Lott married Miss Hendricks; Jim married Sarah Melissa Fletcher; Jim married Nell Renleyu; Ava married George Spurlock.
Jim Ross, son of John , died single.
John married Mrs. Dave Branch; Frances, single.
Alex, son of old Jim Ross, died in the war.
Lott, son of old Jim Ross, married Ellen Gibbs. They had one child, Franklin, who married Judea Branch, daughter of Big Bill.
Sally, daughter of James Ross, married old George Warren. Their children were; John married Sabry Clements; Jesse married Jane Sumner; Barton went to Florida; Francis married Robert Land; Betsy married William Clements; Cab married Dan Sutton.
Nancy, daughter of old James Ross, married Dick Smith.
